In the following terms & conditions ‘the photographer’ shall mean Kate Mannings. The client(s)’shall be those persons defined as the named persons on the booking form. These terms & conditions cannot be varied in any way by the client(s) unless such conditions are expressly agreed by the photographer in writing.

The copyright Designs and Patents Acts assign the copyright of the images to the photographer Kate Mannings.

The client(s) hereby allow(s) the photographer to display any photographs covered by this contract to promote the business in advertising, brochures, magazine articles, websites, blogs, sample albums etc. This term may be waived at the discretion of the photographer for reasons of identity protection. Please submit written information to the photographer before completing the booking form.

Licenses, Coverage and Reproduction

Photographs taken during the course of the event will be at the discretion of the photographer although every effort will be made to comply with the clients requirements. The photographer shall be granted artistic license in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used.

The photographer’s judgement regarding these matters shall be deemed correct. The photographer shall endeavour to photograph all individuals as requested by the client(s) at some point, but no responsibility will be taken by the photographer on the occasion of leaving somebody out. For a booking involving a church ceremony or at certain venues, the photographer’s movements may be restricted by the official in charge. The area from which the photographer is able to cover the ceremony may not be the photographer’s choice and the photographer cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed view should this be the case.

Due to a variety of lighting conditions and the limitations of digital sensors, some colours may alter throughout a set of photographs. Although all equipment is checked regularly and reasonable steps are taken to ensure backup equipment is available, the photographer will not be responsible for photographs that are not produced due to technical failure. Colour treatment applied to photographs can be seen on the portfolio section of this website.

Force Majeure

The photographer will endeavour to put the client(s) in touch with another photographer in the event they are unable to attend on the wedding date due to any cause beyond their reasonable control e.g. sudden illness, injury, victim of crime, flooding etc. In the event of cancellation by the photographer, or in the very unlikely event of total photographic failure, liability shall be limited to a full refund of any fees paid.

All digital negatives (computer files) remain the property of the photographer. The photographer will supply a copy of the edited digital negatives (JPEGS) to the client(s) for their own non-commercial use. Copies of the files may be shared with friends or family for their personal usage.

The photographers deliverables do not include RAW files as these are the original, unedited files. An integral part of the photographers service is to provide professional post production services of the RAW files. It is the responsibility of the client to back up the files once received. The client may contact the photographer to receive the files once more within 30 days of receiving the photos. The photographer cannot guarantee a backup of the files after 1 month of the wedding date.

Files may not be given or shared with third parties for commercial usage (e.g. wedding suppliers, wedding venues ) without the written consent of the photographer. For all enquires regarding commercial usage, please direct the supplier to the photographer via

Cancellation Fees

The client may cancel this contract prior to the Wedding Day, thereby forfeiting all deposits paid, by written notice to Photographer via

Hours & Additional Cover on the day

The photographer is the only authorised and official photographer for your wedding day. The latest the photographer will work to on any wedding day is 10pm unless otherwise agreed in advance.

The hourly fee on the wedding day for any additional hours is £230ph. Should your schedule overrun and the photographer is required beyond the timings agreed on the booking form, you agree to the additional hours rate to be invoiced.

If evening coverage is required beyond 6pm, please provide a hot meal for the photographer. At times the photographer may work in remote locations or the scheduled events are during the reception dinner, or just after, therefore it is not suitable for the photographer to leave the venue as coverage of an event may be missed.

It is important to make arrangements with your caterers to request the photographer is served at the start, or middle of service (not end) as this allows the photographer to be ready for any proceeding scheduled events (e.g speeches, cake cutting, first dance)

Personal Accident

Any directions issued to clients, their guests or employees during a wedding or shoot are deemed to be at said persons own risk. The photographer cannot be held responsible for any personal accidents during a photographic shoot.
